This is what one of my buddies says about once a round when he hits a great shot. If you listen to this podcast you'll be hitting more than one great shot per round. Invaluable information, strategy, and reviews. Highlights the mental part of the game which is the most overlooked aspect. This podcast is not only making me a better golfer, but a better person. New Review
I previously wrote a review that stated dont waste your money. I want to change that because now I understand that I tunes doesnt let you automatically download premium content podcasts. You have to download to your pc, then sync your iphone to the pc. You can also get a app that you can setup to get them on your phone but Ive found you need to be on wi-fi to stream.BUT LET ME SAY. The golfsmarter podcast is by far the best podcast about golf I have found to date. Fred has amazing guests and authors on practically every episode. The podcast has my absolute recommendation and I intend to stay a subscriber.

Lower that handicap
I imagine that I will be a single digit handicap at some point. Starting a 20 handicap I am now a 11. Mostly due to the many guest of Fred's podcast, thank you to Jeff Ritter for the swing description. I love to listen to programs that sometime don't include the ordinary. Fred's podcast cover mental ,physical and everything in between. I believe we take our selves to seriously and lose site of the game being fun and not a chore. This podcast helps me relax and enjoy the game i admire so much. Keep up the good work.

The Best Golf Podcast
I have been listening to Fred's great show since the beginning.
It was great at first and has been getting even better with every show.
Nobody helps the everyday golfer more than Fred and his great guests.

Great Podcast
As a new golfer I have found the "Golf Smarter" podcast to be very informative, but easy to listen to. I have learned a lot from them and have recommended to my more experienced gofler friends to give them a try.

best golf podcast
Fred Greene does a terrific job with this podcast. Great value for the membership cost with discounts on excellent products adding to the value of the content alone. Makes a long commute must less taxing!

for the cold

Golf Smarter
I've been a listener since summer of 2006. Fred Greene consistently delivers high quality content on this podcast and its siblings Golf Smarter for Members Only and Golf Smarter Tips. Fred's development of relationships in the golfing industry brings to the golfer-consumer an awareness of a world that could not otherwise be accessed without lots of time consuming and frustrating research. You can count on Fred to deliver a good interview because he obviously prepares for his sessions and the interviewees respect him and are motivated to communicate their stories. After a few years doing this, Fred has developed a good format and a great interview style. Obvioulsy, he is a radio professional. One of the things I like most about this experience is that you "meet" so many committed and dedicated people in the golfing world. Without Golf Smarter, I don't know how the average golfer could ever hear these amazing people tell their stories. Also, you learn just how committed you need to be to play and enjoy excellent golf, and maybe also, that you are not so unusual, after all, if you obsess a bit about this crazy game. Good Stuff
I have been listening for quite a while. I've been able to improve my mental game alot. And as we all know that can easily help in the handicap deparment. I've managed to shave a couple strokes off the handicap too. I was hoping to get the Member's only for a birthday gift but I guess I was to subtle. I think I'll just break down and get it myself. The podcast has many product reviews and imformation that can apply to anyone's game. Keep up the great work Fred!

Great Tips!
I am new to golfing and this podcast has really helped out my game. I thought that this type of program would only help out people who have been playing for a while, but I was wrong. If your a beginner or a long time enthusiast, this podcast has some great tips to improve your game.

Great podcast
As a new to golf guy I can tell Fred loves this sport!! Hearing from the pro's really helps. Only wish I had the coin to be a subscriber......

Warmth, Humor, Useable Information
I subscribe to two golf magazines and combined they give me less than 1/10th of what I get from Fred and his great guests! Great value delivered with a warm engaging style.

Golf Smarter
After listening and watching some of the podcasts available today, Golf Smarter is by far head and shoulders above the rest. With its informative interviews and top notch guests, it covers all areas of the golf experience. The best part is you do not have to become a member to benefit from the great information the site has to offer. After listening to the interviews and applying the information to my game, I found that I have taken just about 10 strokes off my game. It is only a matter of time before I become a member and obtain the experience that Fred has to offer.
Fred disproves the old adage that "All the good things in life are not free".
Fred, thanks for all the good work and I look forward to the many new interviews and topics to come.

Good info but alot of advertising
I have been listening to a couple of months now and I have found most of the content very interesting. The intro says it about "lowering your scores" but I find that there is alot of product based advertising, which is understandable since most professionals wont just talk for free. However, there is a lot of good enjoyable material. I wish it had a bit more course management, swing fundamentals, or even rules realated material, but that it just me.

Great golf advice
This website is a fabulous way to listen to advice, humor and education about the game of golf. As a single digit handicap woman golfer who manages a golf shop, I not only learn a lot about varied topics, the way the information delivered is humorous and helpful. Thank you! Keep up the great work. Really enjoy Dr. Parent. I attended one of his seminars about 15 years ago. He was good then, better now. I love this stuff!

Golf Smarter is informative, effective, and enjoyable
This show is a favorite of mine. Time has not allowed me to play or practice golf as much as I would like; but Golf Smarter has helped make golf more enjoyable for me when I can play. Never stuffy, Fred Greene has a gracious and respectful style that gives his interviews with golf industry professionals a touch of class. As Fred asks all the right questions, you will gain practical and valuable insights into the game.

Unique perspective on golf
This podcast is good to get a different perspective on golf outside of PGA tour results, and Fred works to make the guest speak to the weekend or "Joe Six Pack" golfer. It's both easy to listen to and informative.

Great podcast for the golfer looking to improve
Golfsmarter is good podcast if you are looking to improve your course management skills and introducing you to other factors like the mental part of the game, nutrition, exercise, and more. This podcast has helped me on the course by helping manage the course and myself in a better way that has led to less frustration and more fun during my rounds. Check it out. Also, Golfsmarter Tips is a great podcast that is similar to taking lessons. GS Tips is shorter, only 4 to 8 minutes but, if you start the beginning you can get a lot out of it.

Golf Smarter is the best!
Golf Smarter is getting me through the winter in Maine -- providing me excellent entertainment during my morning workouts. I would have never have imagined that an audio format (versus video) would be such a great way to learn about all aspects of golf! Fred Greene is an exceptional interviewer with a style that communicates his passion for golf. I can't imagine not having these podcasts. My heartfelt thanks to Fred Greene, his staff and his guests! I wish the show every success!

My Favorite Podcast

Just like golf: addictive
Golf smarter is ostensibly meant to help merchandisers get their products, dvds, golf schools and other items some air time, but if one understands that, this is an incredibly addictive podcast. Fred Greene is a charismatic and quick-thinking host and his guests - be it golf pros, designers, inventors or Pebble Beach caddies - give insightful and interesting answers. A very fun podcast
